Sauter, 70 Team Miss Darlington Race

Darlington, S.C. – Johnny Sauter and the No. 70 Haas Automation team failed to qualify for Saturday night’s race at Darlington.

“It’s a tough deal,” Sauter said. “We had been posting great practice times up until final practice. I don’t know what changed.”

The No. 70 team is now 39th in owner points following the, 145 points away from 35th.

Sauter will drive the No. 70 Chevrolet Impala SS at the Sprint Showdown Saturday night at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

The Top-2 finishers of the Sprint Showdown qualify for the Sprint All-Star Race that immediately follows the Showdown. The Sprint Showdown will be broadcast live Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on the SPEED television network and local MRN radio affiliates.
